Softening hearts in Liverpool |

All the guests felt comfortable...
...two came into a relationship with God.
The innovative new Australian evangelistic course Introducing God, is softening the spiritually hardened Sydney suburb of Liverpool South.
Holy Trinity Anglican Minister David Milne, has tried a number of
different evangelistic strategies to try and reach the spiritually
cynical, but has found Introducing God to be the most successful.
Among the 15 people that participated in the
course, two came into relationship with God. They have joined Bible
study groups and are already involved in ministry. One new believer
came to the course having had no experience with church and the other
had been coming to church on and off for nine months preceding Introducing God.
"The beauty of the course is Dominic’s language and the examples he
uses. It has something to do with Dominic’s style. The presentation is
relaxed and they can identify with him," said Mr Milne.
David described the relational element of the course as the clincher;
"they all felt comfortable and had respect for each other in
discussions."
Holy Trinity Anglican Church ran the course over seven evening sessions and served dessert prepared by church members.
The group watched the Bible talks on the DVD, so that David was free to
interact with the visitors more deeply. "I was a neutral person – which
meant I was free to build relationships with them."
The flexibility of the course and its emphasis on relationships has encouraged Mr Milne to try different ways of adapting Introducing God to reach more people in Liverpool.
David Milne will will join the ministry team at Panania Anglican church in 2007.
