Introducing God over beer in Tanunda |

When David Gogoll started planning for a relaxed venue to run Introducing God his first thought was "Beer!"
"We deliberately decided to not run Introducing God on church turf," says David, "but in the community."
"There are three hotels in town, but the Tanunda Hotel had the best room and were happy to have us."
The church screened Introducing God using a projector and PA system. Meals were provided from the hotel bistro.
Church members invited guests. David also placed advertisements in the local paper.
The number of guests attending peaked on the first night, but settled down to about 26.
Comments from guests included: "Interesting and controversial”, “challenging”, "I enjoyed the discussions”, “I'm trying to find god and will let it come naturally” and “great atmospehere.”
At the end of the course about two-thirds of the guests had become Christians.
David is looking forward to greater things next time they run Introducing God in Tanunda. |
