Merrylands Presbyterian was a church vetted for burial, but the Lord is adding to our numbers through the help of Introducing God. The course has reached new members who, Peter says, are ‘really becoming a part of our church.’

Almost two years ago, part time home missioner Peter Magee, received an advertisement under his church door about Introducing God.

He attended a training seminar and ran his first Introducing God course last September.

Five outsiders attended the Introductory Night, with two finishing the course.

Since then, these people are attending a Bible study group every Tuesday evening. One young man has now started attending Sunday church.

Peter gives credit to Introducing God saying, ‘The beauty of the course is that, because of the relationships built up with the course, people are strongly connected, even though our church is very small.’

Peter is aware that prayer and pre-evangelism friendship is essential to effective evangelism. Even now he is working towards running another Introducing God course in Spring.
