Feedback from iGod training seminars |
Here is some feedback from our recent Introducing God training seminars in Victoria:
- “The seminar was helpful to see that Introducing God is gentle, relationship and that about 30,000 people have already used it.” –Emerald.
- “I really appreciate that Introducing God takes post-modernism seriously a
nd has this advantage over Alpha.” –Emerald.
- “Especially helpful was the consideration of the differences between Modern and Post-modern thinking especially as many of the leaders in our churches have grown up as modernists, but want to reach postmoderns.” –Emerald.
- “Frikin Excellent.” –Bendigo.

The biggest mistake we make |

The biggest mistake that Christian hosts make is they invite their guest to an 8-week course! This is like asking a girl out saying "Will you have dinner with me this Friday and every Friday for the next 8 weeks?"!
It's not something we'd do!
Instead we invite someone to one night and if they like it, then they can choose to come back next week (and so on). |

Dying church resurrects with Introducing God |
Merrylands Presbyterian was a church vetted for burial, but the Lord is adding to our numbers through the help of Introducing God. The course has reached new members who, Peter says, are ‘really becoming a part of our church.’
Almost two years ago, part time home missioner Peter Magee, received an advertisement under his church door about Introducing God.
He attended a training seminar and ran his first Introducing God course last September.

Introducing God in the UK |

Dear André,
We ran an Introducing God course here at our church, around a meal. We were very encouraged, that about ten unbelievers came, five of whom came to every session. In fact, one elderly lady, who was first contacted by door-to-door evangelism, came to the lot, and was converted!
So we give God all the glory, but I hope that is also an encouragement to you.

Mark Driscoll & Introducing God |
“People convert to our church, and friendship with its members first, and second to God,” Driscoll says in his book Radical Reformission, in describing unsaved people connecting to church members and helping to run concerts, helping to develop a website, joining a Bible study or serving the needy. Hospitality and friendship are key to Driscoll’s evangelism, and the boundaries between evangelism and discipleship are deliberately blurred. |

Introducing God over beer in Tanunda |

When David Gogoll started planning for a relaxed venue to run Introducing God his first thought was "Beer!"
"We deliberately decided to not run Introducing God on church turf," says David, "but in the community."
"There are three hotels in town, but the Tanunda Hotel had the best room and were happy to have us." |

Introducing God in Blacktown |
Christ Church Blacktown had been running another course for years. However I was concerned that the gospel was not clearly presented to people who attended the course.
I was aware of Introducing God and so invited André to come and run a training seminar to introduce us to it. The training and concepts explained there confirmed my view that Introducing God was vastly superior.

'...loads of things that I really love about this course...' |

Review by Mark Gilbart-Smith
Introducing God is another in the series of evangelistic courses following the Alpha / Christianity Explored format of talk, meal & discussion. Written by Dominic Steele from Christians in the Media, broadly speaking it is an expansion and exposition of the Two ways to live gospel outline that I reviewed earlier.
